First Dance Class EVER!!!!
Reagan and Riley had their very first dance class today!!! They'll be going every Tuesday for one whole hour with Miss Holly! They do ballet, movement (tumbling) and tap! There were only 5 little girls in the class (thank God for the teacher...I have no idea how she could handle any more than that!). It was HILARIOUS to watch...here are a few of the videos I could get while peeking through the window. The girls could see me so I didn't want to get too many! They had a ball and definitely looked the part at least! Riley says that tap was her favorite and Reagan said her favorite part was playing freeze dance with the flashing light and getting a sticker at the end. Ha! For their very first dance class ever, I'd say they did pretty well!
Amelia Island!!!
Matt and I decided to take the girls on an overnight trip to Amelia Island for the Labor Day weekend! We left on Sunday morning and were back home by Monday late afternoon. It's only 45 minutes from our house and we had an AMAZING time!!!!! Not only is Amelia Island absolutely gorgeous, but the girls had so much fun!!!! They swam in the big pool nonstop! I have no pictures or videos from that, obviously, because Matt and I were on lifeguard duty! These two have become total fishes and swim on their own under water and would have stayed in the pool all day long if we didn't make them take a couple of breaks! (we needed the break more than they did!). The hotel had a little "splash park" for the kids with fountains of water and the girls loved running around in it. It was great too because Matt and I could actually sort of sit back and relax (yes...we had pina coladas since we were on "vacation"!). Since it was Labor Day weekend there were tons of activities and music all over the plantation. The girls got to ride in a fire truck, we went to a nature center where they got to see tons of turtles and pet a bunny and we had some really yummy meals! It may have only been a little over 24 hours away from home, but it was just awesome. I hope we can go back again sometime soon!!! My favorite memory from our time there was after dinner Sunday night. We'd come back to the hotel and in the lobby bar a guy was playing music. The girls said they wanted to dance so we took them in there. I had tears running down my face from laughing so hard. They got SO into it. What you can't see in these videos is the huge group of people standing behind us watching them and laughing and smiling. Quite the entertainers!!!!!!! It was the best weekend and we're so blessed to live so close to such fun places!

First Day of School!!!
The girls started school again this morning!! They are going to the same little church preschool that they went to last year (Christ Church Episcopal down in Ponte Vedra Beach) and will be going Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:45-11:45. It's amazing. They were so excited this morning I could hardly get them to eat breakfast. All of their sweet friends from last year's class are in their class again and they've been talking about them nonstop! Their teachers are Miss Janet and Miss Kelly and they had a fabulous first day! Can't wait for Wednesday already! Here are some pics from this morning before we left. They were so excited it was hard to get them to sit still for a picture!!!
Riley Update
We had Riley's big annual checkup at MUSC (the Medical University of South Carolina) where she had her open heart surgery (almost!) 2 years ago. I can't believe that it's been that long already...I still remember it like it was yesterday! Matt was able to drive up on Thursday after work and the two of us went with her. Reagan was in absolute heaven with Nana all to herself at home! The appointment is usually a pretty long one with lots of tests and Riley did such an amazing job. We were so proud of her and while I think I forgot to breathe for most of the appointment because I was so nervous, we got AMAZING news that her heart still looks great!!!! There continues to be a minimal amount of leaking and as long as it stays that way, we can maintain only once a year checkups. What a relief! We are so thankful and can breathe a lot easier!!!! Here is a picture right after she finished the Echocardiogram and we had to wait for the results before they would let her get up. I brought a long a pushpop lollipop for emergencies and it came in handy!!! I also put a video on here of her and Reagan dancing up a storm one night after dinner (there was a band playing at the restaurant!) just to show you how HEALTHY she is!!!!
Kiawah, the boat and BopBop's birthday!
We had a great time in Kiawah! Laurie and Cooper came too and the girls and Cooper had so much fun playing together again. We were able to all be together to celebrate BopBop's birthday and the kids even made him his birthday cake (see video below). Hilarious and yummy at the same time! The girls got to go on their first ever boat ride in BopBop's boat and they LOVED it so much. We had dolphins swimming all around us and the kids would all sing thinking that they were calling the dolphins every time they sang a song. (I actually think it might have worked! The dolphins came SO close to the boat!) It was amazing. I often wonder if Reagan and Riley will realize how blessed they are to be able to see and do the things that they get to do. Matt and I are going to try our best to make sure that they will! It was a great trip and here are some highlight videos....

Nana Susan Was Here!!!!
We had a great visit last week with Nana Susan! We did SO much while she was here that I hope we didn't wear her out too much! We went to the beach, swam in the pool, went to the zoo, had dinner at TPC, went shopping and out to eat and had a fabulous visit! The girls continue to be little fish and just want to be in the pool (actually UNDER the water) all of the time. It's exhausting trying to keep up with them! They had a blast at the zoo feeding the giraffes and showing Nana all around. It was super hot while she was here though, so it was tough to do too much outside! We miss her already and can't wait to see her again SOON!!!!!
