What a great time!

Our house is back to being relatively quiet (well, as quiet as it can be with two toddlers!!!) and we had a great time with everyone here! Kylie, Grace and Greta left on Saturday morning and we had the rest of the day with Liza, Mark, Susan and Anthony. It was a beautiful, perfect day so we went to the pool and the beach! Reagan and Riley LOVE swimming these days (they start swim lessons next month!) and Matt and Uncle Mark took them in the pool. The middle video shows them both swimming around and the last video shows Riley performing her new trick! She loves putting her face in the water...started doing it all on her own!
Reagan is completely in love with Uncle Mark and has been saying "I Miss Mark" since he left. Yesterday, we walked into the house and she shouted "I'm coming, Mark!" I guess she thought he'd be inside.  It's funny and sad at the same time!
 We took some pictures on the beach with everyone on Friday night and I should have them back in a week or so...so I'll make sure and post those when I get them because I think they'll be some really good ones!

Fun with the Cavottas

Kylie, Grace and Greta arrived on Saturday! The weather has been pretty chilly, but sunny! The cousins are all having lots of fun together and we are LOVING having the chance to hang out all together again...it's been way too long! (almost one whole year). Here are a couple of videos....this morning, Grace and Greta taught the girls how to ride scooters...think it may be quite a few years until they can actually ride them, but they had fun pretending! Last night, Kylie spent time reading to all of the kids. It was the quietest this house has been in a LONG time!!!! Everyone else arrives tomorrow...should be crazy and lots of fun!!!

CHOO CHOO!!!!

We have a HUGE outdoor mall here in Jacksonville called the St. John's Town Center. It honestly has every, single store and restaurant you could ever want to go to (except for Nordstrom...but they're building it now!!!). The girls and I go up there a lot to walk around because there is so much to see. There is a huge koi pond with lots of turtles and ducks that they love, but the best part is there is a train that you can ride all around the area. It's SO annoying when you're stuck behind it driving, but the girls are obsessed with it. I took them up there once and did it by myself and vowed that I would NEVER do that again...so since it's a Saturday and Matt is home, we all boarded the train (the girls even get tickets...so cute) and rode together. I kept telling Matt that I wished we'd see someone he worked with...he was VERY glad that didn't happen. This picture doesn't do it justice at all, but the girls were on cloud 9. They LOVED it...waved to every person that we passed and Riley kept hanging out the window shouting "HELLOOOOOOOO!". They made a LOT of people smile today! (and it is FREEZING by the way....brrrrrr! Come back warm weather!!!!).
We're getting so excited for all of our visitors to hurry up and get here! Aunt Kylie, Grace and Greta arrive late tonight from Seattle and then on Wednesday, Aunt Liza and Uncle Mark, and Nana Susan and "T" get here. We can't wait and know it's going to be so much fun...and it will be even more fun if the sun is shining and it warms up!!!! We'll be sure and take lots of pictures of all of the fun we have together!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Reagan and Riley have had a BIG day already...and it's not even 9:00!!! They got presents from Daddy (they each got two books that he picked out for them and they each got one pink rose in a vase!!!) and they gave Daddy his Valentine's cards that they worked SO hard on making, and a pair of his favorite socks! If it ever stops raining we'll go and deliver Valentine's cards to our neighborhood friends. Here is a copy of the card that we made this year...I think it's pretty cute! Hope you all have a wonderful Valentine's Day full of love!!!

After naptime fun

Here are a couple of videos I took today after nap...Riley has been waking up first almost every day now. They've totally switched on me. Reagan takes about 20-30 minutes to fall asleep for naps and at nighttime.  It's hilarious. She lays in her bed and just talks and talks and talks. Tonight Matt and I caught her yelling "Wubba Wubba!" over and over again...it was so funny! She yells out the names of the kids in her class, the abc's, and talks to her little stuffed animal friends that she sleeps with. It's so, so sweet and completely hilarious. Riley, on the other hand, falls asleep the second we put her down, but once she's up...she wants to get UP and no amount of rocking or soothing or anything is going to convince her to go back to sleep! And I told Matt the other day, that I finally found a BIG negative to living in Florida. (any one living up north just stop reading right now). Almost every, single day, a landscaper is mowing the lawn of one of our neighbors houses and it wakes the girls up from their naps. It drives me crazy. The second I hear the lawnmower start I know I have about 15 seconds before Riley starts screaming. She yells "ON, ON, ON", which I only figured out today means "LAWN!", (DUH!!!). It terrifies her...poor thing!
Anyway...here are the videos. They have started talking to each other in a little language. They say a few words to each other over and over and over again and just CRACK UP. We have no idea what they're saying but they think it's hilarious. The latest one is something that sounds like "SIGNOOOO" They both say it over and over to each other and laugh and laugh. I keep trying to figure it out. I'm normally really good at it but they're stumping me lately! My mom always said that Laurie and I did the same thing...

 

No one got sick!

Reagan and Riley LOVE to spin. They spin around the living room, they spin around the kitchen, they spin and spin and spin all the live long day. Matt and I took them to the playground this weekend and put them on the tire swing for the first time and, surprise, surprise, they LOVED it! They kept begging for more and more. I hopped on with them one time and felt like I had Vertigo the rest of the day...how do they do it!??! Here's a quick video....

Here are a few more pics from when Ben, Michele and Taylor came to visit! These are from the beach, the zoo and the playground (and the bath!!!). The girls fed the giraffes and rode the Merry Go Round for the first time! We had such a great time!!!

Amazing weekend

Ben, Michele and Taylor have been here since Thursday night and we have had a total blast with them.  We went to the Zoo, the playground (a couple of them!) and the beach. Got to watch the Super Bowl, Matt and Ben played TPC, and Michele and I never stopped talking and the girlies never stopped playing. It was just so much fun.  We had a fantastic weekend and are sad that it's over. I just wish that they lived so much closer...we have promised each other to see more of each other and to definitely start Skyping! The girls are going to miss sweet Taylor so, so much! (and we'll miss Ben and Michele just as much!).  (more pictures to come once Ben and Michele get home and send them to us!...we're pretty sure they'll be some great ones!).

Dads And Donuts

The girls took Daddy to school yesterday! It was "Dads And Donuts morning", so Matt got to take the girls in to school and sit down with them (and the other dads and their kids!) and have donuts for breakfast! The girls were so excited and talked about it nonstop. Riley was a little shy for the camera...but she had fun and Matt loved every second of it! So special!
