TOTAL STINKERS

The girls made me laugh so hard today. I went to the bathroom for literally less than a minute and came out to find this.  The first video I made to send to Matt at work (so I apologize for the stupid commentary) but thought that I should put it on here so that someday they can see the kind of things they did every day! The second video is what started to happen as I attempted to clean up the mess.  They are finding new ways to amuse themselves every day! Ha!

Water table fun

Our amazing friend Meghan sent the girls a water table! It is so much fun and they are having a ball. The condo has a screened in porch overlooking the lake and it's the perfect place to have it. They were playing with it at 7:30 this morning and cried when I pulled them away. It's a huge hit and I know we'll be spending HOURS playing with it. They're back at it again now, in swimsuits this time though...I learned my lesson this morning!  Thank you Meghan!!!!!!!!

Our first trip to the zoo

The girls and I went to the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens today! It was really amazing...we saw a TON of animals. I have to say, the girls were NOT interested in much (except for when I got myself a sno-cone and gave them some...you can see it on Riley's face in one of the pics) but they LOVED the giraffes and the fish. They became super animated when they saw the giraffes and Riley kept trying to say "giraffe" and Reagan just pointed the whole time.  I was amazed at how close they came to us until I realized that people were paying $2 to feed them! I didn't do it but I'm sure the girls will someday.  It's really nice to have such a neat place so close to us now and I have a feeling we'll be going back on a regular basis. Even if the girls don't get too much out of it just yet, it was a beautiful place for me to walk around! The pictures are NOT fantastic...it was pretty hot and I didn't take them out of the stroller since I was by myself, so they look completely unimpressed in most pictures I took!

Getting settled

We arrived in Ponte Vedra Beach on Tuesday afternoon! The rental condo will be just perfect for us for the next couple of months and has a beautiful view out a huge wall of windows. The girls seem to love it so far! We've had to do quite a bit of "baby-proofing" as it's quite obvious that whoever owns this place doesn't have little babies visit very often! Matt is still loving his job and he's feeling at home with the PGA Tour now.  I've been spending my days driving around with the girls and getting a feel for the area and then just playing around the condo. There is a pool at the place but I'm still not ready to attempt taking the girls by myself just yet! Maybe in 5 more years! (only sort of kidding) We're close to the beach and all 4 of us attempted to go today, but it was way too windy, unfortunately! It's about 2 minutes away though, so we'll try again soon! We're heading "home" to Charleston next weekend to check on the house and relax back in our own place so that should be fun.
Attaching a cute video of the girls playing together around the dining table in the condo. They are having a ball with each other lately...so much fun.  And our biggest news...Miss Reagan has decided that walking really is pretty cool and has decided to try it!  She still likes to hold our hands better than trying it on her own, but she's totally capable. Riley, on the other hand, has gotten to the point that we have to run after her...it's hilarious. She has no control at all but goes SO fast! I can't even imagine what our life is going to be like in a month when they're both on the run....wish us luck!

Happy Mother's Day

We had such a special Mother's Day today! The girls spoiled me rotten of course (thanks, Daddy!) but we felt so blessed to be able to share the day with every single member of my mom's side of the family. We all met in Kiawah for a yummy lunch and then went to my parents afterwards. How amazing to have 4 generations together today!!! We had lots of smiles and laughs all together.  but Everyone got to see Riley cruising around, and Reagan walked to Uncle Ron and to her Great Grandpa! Happy Mother's Day to everyone!

My first baby

It's a very, very sad day here at the Iofredo house.  Our best friend in the world, Madison, went to heaven this morning.  She has been my shadow, my very best friend for 14 years and at this moment I don't know what I'm going to do without her.  My heart is broken and so is Matt's. She was the best dog in the world...I was so worried about how she'd be with Reagan and Riley because she was always so protective of me with other little kids. She was an angel. Just yesterday morning she was kissing Reagan all over and making her giggle.  I don't have one bad memory of our days with her and we are so blessed to have had her by our sides for so long. We'll be able to tell the girls someday about what an amazing big sister they had in Maddie and how she took such good care of them but most importantly how happy she made us.  We love you so very much, sweet Maddie girl and we can't wait to see you again someday.  Have fun and don't eat too many treats!!! xoxo

We love to read

The girls honestly love to read more than almost anything else.  I know they aren't actually reading (I mean...I know I have the two smartest babies in the world, but they aren't there just yet)!! Riley's favorite book is Brown Bear, Brown Bear by Eric Carle.  She walks around with it (yes...she's walking up a storm!!!) and you can sort of hear her trying to repeat the words.  Reagan loves any book with pictures of real things...especially the animal books. She loves our dog, Madison so much and says "dog" all of the time and points at her (you'll see her do it on the video!). She isn't walking yet, but she's definitely noticing how much cheering is going on for Riley lately so I think she'll get on board soon!
All is great around here! We are showing the house like crazy...4 showings on Friday alone. It makes it pretty insane around here for sure, but we aren't complaining! Fingers crossed that all of these showings will lead to a buyer soon! Matt came home for the weekend which was amazing...just hoping the girls aren't too sad when they wake up tomorrow and it's just mommy again!
