Valentine's Day with Daddy

I had some competition this year for my Valentine! Matt was so sweet and surprised all of us with roses. He wrapped a single rose up for each girl and he even wrote them a card and asked them to "always be his Valentine!". SO ADORABLE. I'm sure they will be! They sure do love their Daddy and so do I!
Hope everyone had a very happy Valentine's Day!

Lunch date with GG and GG

These cute pics are from our lunch date last week in Hilton Head with GG and GG! We had a blast as usual and the girls even got presents! Great Grandma got the girls some adorable dolls that they haven't stopped playing with! Reagan even says doll (which also sounds exactly like dog and dad...but still it's adorable!) and Riley keeps giving her doll hugs and kisses. The girls each got to read stories with GG and GG too and we had a great time! Can't wait to go for another visit!

Some day they'll hate me for this

Tonight we tried baths TOGETHER for the very first time! It was a success...I ended up completely soaked. We got the tail end on video but they had a blast. We'll do baths together from now on! It was so sweet. We didn't get them interacting on video too much but they absolutely loved being together. It's a lot more work for Matt and me (we have to be SUPER alert...even more so than normal) but it's totally worth it. It was so sweet!
We also tried pudding and watermelon for the first time today (not together!). Thanks for the idea, Mom!! Pudding was also a huge success...watermelon, not so much!

The biggest news to report from the week...
We have 2 crawlers now. Reagan finally decided she was sick of being left in the dust. It is a total circus around here. They both go opposite ways and are moving at warp speed. I'm not sure I sat down today. It is hilarious but so exhausting. Video of that to come if we can ever catch it! Happy weekend everyone!

Sweet girls

They could do this for hours...so could I!

We're 10 months old today

Really?!? 10 months old!!!?????!!! I can't stand how fast the time is going. Every day seems to just be flying by and every day brings some new and exciting thing that R & R show us that they know how to do.
Reagan...what a fun, sweet, wonderful baby. I can't say it enough about how much she makes us laugh. She knows when she's being funny and just loves to be silly all day long. She still LOVES her daddy more than anything, but Madison is a very close second. She has learned how to say "dog" and says it ALL DAY LONG whenever Maddie is anywhere near her. It sounds like "dah" but she points at her and it's just hilarious. She also says "Da-da" non-stop (no mama for her just yet) and still loves to be held and cuddled and kissed and snuggled as much as we can handle it. She has amazed us with the fact that she still isn't crawling but is somehow able to end up all over the house just by scooting and rolling there. She's adapted really well and we're pretty much accepting the fact that she's just going to go straight to walking! She's pulling up on everything and while she's still a little wobbly, she's standing up pretty well when holding on to things. She's sleeping better but still seems to want some reassurance in the middle of the night that we're still here. It's funny because I was reading through my baby book and mom's notes about me and my sleeping/nap habits are basically exactly the same as Reagan's. Poor mom and dad!
Reagan continues to just be a total sweetheart and so much fun!!!!
Riley....What can I say?! She has us totally blown away by all that she's accomplished in the past few months since her surgery. She is crawling up a storm. She goes so fast and is into everything. She stands up so easily now and is really sturdy. She feeds herself and is doing absolutely everything and more that a 10 month old should be doing. She says mama and I swear...there is NO sweeter word in the world than when it comes out of her mouth. I just melt every single time. I'm pretty sure she isn't exactly sure that she's talking about me...but the fact that everytime I hear her say it I come running and do a little dance and smile at her, I'm sure she'll figure it out pretty soon! She's recently learned to laugh out loud and it's hilarious. She waits for us to copy her and then she just keeps laughing and laughing. We love it. Riley's Torticollis was really showing improvement and she was holding her neck super straight for the past few weeks. I think I had about one whole week where I didn't have any worries with her and it was awesome. Until Friday. For some reason (doctors/physical therapists tell us it's likely teething or that she's going through something else) she's reverted back again and her poor right ear is sitting on her right shoulder half of the day. It's so frustrating and I just hate it for her. We'll likely be going back to physical therapy twice a week again. She wears this stupid collar thing that hurts her and I hate it but it seems to help somewhat so we'll keep it up. We do stretches at home and have to hold her a special way to help stretch out her neck muscles. I'm sure someday she'll be mad at Reagan for squishing her so much when they were in my belly! Other than that (and in the big scheme of life this is nothing!!!) she's just the sweet little angel that she's been from day one. She is happy all day long and plays by herself so well. Besides saying Mama she babbles non-stop. She is quite the chatterbox! She wakes up in the morning in the best mood and just lays in her crib and talks and talks and talks. I only wish I knew what she was saying!!! She entertains herself so well and her favorite toys (Reagan's to0) are books. They just love them lately and I'm so happy about that!
It blows us away that 2 months from now we'll have 1 year old little girls. I honestly can't believe it. We are so blessed and so excited to see what's in store for them! Every day keeps getting better!

Fun visit from Nana Susan

Matt's mom was here all last week and boy did she pick a good week to come! The weather was in the 70's and sunny every day. It was AWESOME. We spent a LOT of time outside (as we always do) and finally got to take her downtown to show her our amazing city. We walked and walked and walked. The girls did a great job and we stopped at our favorite place to feed them...the Charleston Place Hotel. It's so pretty and whenever we go downtown we always go there to sit in the comfy chairs and feed the girls so that we can spend more time downtown. After we were done feeding them they had a ball standing on the couches. They are pulling up to stand on everything (I have a heart attack almost every time) and are just growing up so fast it's scary!
We went to the park one day while Susan was here and invented the Twin Swing. We put both girls into one of the baby swings at the same time and just wedged a blanket behind them. They loved it. They love swinging at our house but it's nice to try a new place every once and awhile!
We had a great visit and hope that Nana Susan will come back soon...but the weather in Cleveland has been so mild, the winter hasn't been too bad (yet!)!
